Start with every door a person can open from outside, including the door from the garage and the basement hatch. Ground-floor windows that are hidden from the street come next. Interior motion is optional and should wait until pets and nighttime habits are understood. A doorbell camera is useful, but it is not a substitute for a contact on the door itself.

A Dedication to Supporting All Aspects of Your Home.
Plans are explained before you agree, including the monthly price, what the visit includes, and how to end service. Equipment we install may be purchased or provided with the plan, and that difference is written in the quote. We do not hide the end date in a footer. If you move, email us and we will tell you what can transfer and what must be removed.
An alarm makes noise, sends a signal, and calls attention to the house. It does not make a door unbreakable. Good locks, lighting, and sight lines still matter. We will not promise that a determined person can never enter. We will promise that an unexpected opening, while the system is set, is noticed and handled according to your instructions.
You can, plus anyone you invite from the app. Monitoring specialists open a camera only when an alarm, a safety sensor, or a rule you created gives them a reason. We do not sell clips. We do not let staff browse houses on a quiet shift. You can remove a shared user without calling us.
Contacts and the siren are designed to work at the panel even when the internet drops. Monitoring uses a path that is not only your home Wi-Fi, so a router reboot is not the same as a dark system. Cameras may pause until the network returns. The panel will show you that state instead of pretending everything is fine.
You get a short window to cancel with your code. If you cancel, the desk stands down. If the same door causes repeat false alarms, we come back and move or replace the sensor rather than asking you to ignore the app. A household that is trained to dismiss every alert does not have security.
Often, yes, if the property owner agrees to sensors and a lock change. We use mounts that can come off when you leave, and we say in advance which holes are required. Send the situation by email and we will tell you honestly if the building is a poor fit.
Give them a unique code, not yours. Show them stay mode versus away mode. Tell them the doorbell camera sees the porch. Do not ask them to disable sensors to “make the beeping stop.” If they need a quieter setup for a weekend, email us and we will adjust the schedule with you.
A burglar alarm is usually armed when you leave or sleep. Smoke, heat, and severe leak alerts stay active because those problems happen while you are home. The desk treats them as urgent and uses the safety call list, which may be different from the intrusion list.
Use the contact form or email hello@graysecurityservices.com. Tell us the type of home, how many doors you care about, whether you want cameras, and if pets roam at night. We reply by email. A survey conversation is free and does not put hardware on the wall.
